Urban Reach STL

Urban Reach STL is on a mission to break systemic poverty and crime by empowering and encouraging long-term change in St. Louis public housing. They were gifted a rather run-down building in the Columbus Square/Cochran neighborhood.

We helped them understand the redevelopment process, develop a budget, and ultimately complete a programming of the space and produce drawings and renderings. By explaining this tried and true process of developing a building from an urban shell, we were able to help the organization better leverage its abilities and resources. This building will be a phenomenal tool to allow them to serve the community on a much bigger scale than they have before.

We’ve partnered with L. Keely Construction, who will serve as the general contractor. The project will include a worship and gathering space, an art studio, a dance studio, activity spaces, an office suite, multipurpose spaces, a kitchen and dining room, a lounge, and classrooms. It will also include a play space and athletic field outside, a secured perimeter, and a parking lot.
