Three Oaks Assisted Living & Memory Care

Spectrum turned to Vessel for its first ground-up senior living community in the Chicago suburbs. 60 Assisted Living and 20 Memory Care units blend seamlessly into a cohesive design, ensuring efficient function for the staff while providing the appropriate amount of secure spaces for those in need of additional memory care.

Built right on the heels of the Great Recession, the most important design challenge we faced was to optimize every detail of the architecture and engineering systems for cost-effectiveness and constructability. This is where we learned the major impact that intense code research could make on selecting systems that ensure compliance, while also minimizing cost.
