Vessel’s reputation in Senior Living has been earned through a wide range of Assisted Living, Memory Care, Independent Living, and Senior Cottage projects throughout the country. Over the years, we have assisted our clients in creating several thousand resident units — each specially designed to feel like home, while incorporating cutting-edge features that make life easier. Our buildings are known for state-of-the-art safety and incorporate innovations that encompass how seniors of today and tomorrow want to age (think coffee shops and craft beer pubs).
We have a deep respect for and knowledge of current regulations, and we foster partnerships with local and state jurisdictions to ensure our facilities comply with all codes. We place a high premium on practical constructability strategies and technical considerations and are constantly making our drawings smarter with each and every lesson we learn in the field.
Meet the Principals
We had always hoped for the opportunity to design for elders, and that opportunity came in 2008. Leveraging our experience in hospitality design with Marriott hotels, Vessel helped Spectrum Retirement develop the prototype for their major national roll-out of Assisted Living Facilities. From the beginning, we understood the importance of implementing processes to capture lessons learned and apply them on each successive project. We are constantly learning and innovating new design solutions for seniors. Several additional clients and more than 40 projects later, Vessel is a well-connected industry leader with deep knowledge, practical experience, and sage wisdom in Senior Living.
